Submission
The submission process for PCI 2024 has started!
Authors are invited to submit their original manuscripts, in English. The submitted papers should have neither been published nor submitted for publication elsewhere.
As with previous versions of PCI, proceedings will be published by ACM in the International Conference Proceedings Series (ICPS), so all submissions must follow the ACM conference proceedings format.
The submission of manuscripts for review will be done in single-column ACM conference format (instructions follow). A maximum of nine (9) pages, including references, images, and tables, is allowed.
All submitted papers will undergo a peer review process, coordinated by the Program Chairs. The submitted papers will be peer-reviewed on the basis of technical quality, relevance to the PCI scope, originality, significance, and clarity.
The Program Chairs based on the Program Committee’s comments/suggestions will make a decision (accept, reject, or accept as a short paper).
Templates for manuscript submission:
Microsoft Word users: Write your paper using the Submission Template (Review Submission Format) in single-column format. Follow the embedded instructions to apply the paragraph styles to your various text elements.
LaTeX users: Use the latest version of the Primary Article Template – LaTeX to create your article submission. Use the “manuscript” style to create a single-column format. Please review the LaTeX documentation and LaTeX best practices guide should you have any questions.

Questions concerning submissions:
Please, contact pci2024@uniwa.gr using “submission process request” as a subject.
Further information for later steps:
Authors should be aware that, in case of acceptance, they should have to use the two-column format for preparing the camera-ready version. Another restriction for the camera ready full papers will be to have size at most eight (8) pages (the size reduction is because of two columns) and for short papers the restriction will be to have size at most five (5) pages.

Important note to authors about the new ACM open access publishing model
ACM has introduced a new open access publishing model for the International Conference Proceedings Series (ICPS). Authors based at institutions that are not yet part of the ACM Open program and do not qualify for a waiver will be required to pay an article processing charge (APC) to publish their ICPS article in the ACM Digital Library. To determine whether or not an APC will be applicable to your article, please follow the detailed guidance here:
https://www.acm.org/publications/icps/author-guidance.
Further information may be found on the ACM website, as follows:
Full details of the new ICPS publishing model: https://www.acm.org/publications/icps/faq.
Full details of the ACM Open program: https://www.acm.org/publications/openaccess.
Please direct all questions about the new model to icps-info@acm.org.

Section 2 (Rights & Permissions Considerations) of the agreement between ACM and the Greek Computer Society (GCS / EPY), organizer of PCI2024, contains the following:
<<<2. All ICPS authors will choose among the same rights options offered to all ACM authors (https://authors.acm.org/author-resources/author-rights ).>>>
The following excerpt (from author-rights web page) is of interest to the authors:
-
<<<Choose
- Exclusive Licensing Agreement: Authors choosing this option will retain copyright of their work while providing ACM with exclusive publishing rights.
- Non-exclusive Permission Release: Authors who wish to retain all rights to their work must choose ACM's author-pays option, which allows for perpetual open access to their work through ACM's digital library. Choosing this option enables authors to display a Creative Commons License on their works.>>>
ACM gives authors the opportunity to choose between two levels of rights management for their work. Note that both options obligate ACM to defend the work against improper use by third parties:
